In honor of our upcoming Clothing Donation Drive here are a few tips to help you clean out your closet. Cleaning out your closet is one of the most daunting tasks on your chore list. Where to even begin? Fortunately there are a few easy tips you can adapt to your process.
Before you begin-
Figure out who you are. What style and image are you trying to portray? This will help you guide through the process so you can easily pin point a few items that stand out which do not fit.
During the process-
Analyze each individual item. Go through each item in your closet and ask yourself whether you really wear each item. When was the last time that you wore it? If you find that you haven’t worn it in the past year then you will probably not wear it in the near future.
After the cleansing-
Instead of throwing all of your clothes into one pile and have to organize it As you are analyzing each item you should set aside a few piles. The clothes you want to keep, the clothes you want to donate and the clothes that should be thrown out or recycled. Be sure to donate your work and interview appropriate clothes to the Holyoke Career Closet. Our Clothing Donation Drive is Saturday August 31 at the Great Holyoke Block Party, located on High Street.
