Crafts And Clothes For Careers – May 19th, 2012
A fashion themed craft show to benefit the Holyoke Career Closet.  A fun day of jewelry, accesorries, clothing, handbags and homemade beauty products from a variety of crafters and artists.
The event will be held Saturday May 19th, from 10am-2pm at the Pope John Paul II Social Center adjacent to Mater Dolorosa School, 25 Maple St. Holyoke.  “Crafts and Clothes For Careers” is FREE to the public, and will feature raffles and concessions in addition to the artists.

Punches 4 Poverty – June 16th, 2012
An all-ages punch-a-thon event to benefit the Holyoke Career Closet.  Participants in teams of 5-7 will throw punches at mitts or in the air, and solicit pledges for each punch. Teams will have three two minute rounds (with a 30 second break between rounds) to work toward their punch goal; each individual works toward the goal of throwing 1,000 punches (500 punches for participants under 15).  Each participant will collect pledges of .01 or more per punch, or a “Knock Out” (KO) flat-rate pledge.
The event will take place Saturday June 16, 2012 from 2-7pm at the Holyoke Boys and Girls Club, 70 Nick Cosmos Way.

PAST EVENTS

Holyoke Mall Coat Check – December 17 – December 23, 2011
Providence Ministries will be holding a coat and parcel check at the Holyoke Mall during the week leading up to Christmas. Cost is $1/item.  All money generated by the coat check will help us help others.  The designated day for the Holyoke Career Closet is Saturday December 17.  We are looking for volunteers to help throughout the day in shifts of two hours or more.  Please contact us if you are interested!

Pro-Stylist Microworkshop – March 28th 2012
The Holyoke Career Closet is partnering with Blushing Brides owner/principal designer Grace Mahoney to bring you our very first microworkshop! Learn more about hair and make-up for the workplace from an experienced professional stylist!!
